Hello, and welcome to the home page of the Virago Motorcycle Club of Queensland Inc. We are a SE-Queensland based organisation which caters to members of the public who are interested in sedate touring of SE-Queensland and Northern NSW, yet are spirited enough to enjoy the finer things in life such as camping, weekends away and fine food and drink. The club returns the member's investment by providing a host of regular activities, including an AGM, a Christmas party, and many other subsidised events throughout the year.

To this end, the club organises voluntary rides for members and non-members on a Sunday of each month, typically departing from one of a number of fixed locations around Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. Rides are organised so as to take in the areas surrounding SE QLD and Northern NSW, following a routine of staggering the compass directions; one ride may go North, the next West, the next South and an occasional foray East to the coast and surrounding islands by ferry.

Membership is open to any person willing to follow the objectives and ride guidelines of our club, which can be found here. Membership currently costs $10 per year, and ownership of a motorcycle is not a requirement. Members and guests who wish to participate in club activities, but don't own a motorcycle, are welcome to contact the ride coordinator who will try to find a member willing to carry a pillion.

The Virago Club is somewhat unique in Queensland in having evolved a system of conducting a short meeting on some rides; general members are typically kept updated on proceedings via the newsletter and the website. We find this encourages members who want to have a say in the running of the club to attend rides and thus be involved first-hand in activities.
